Currently one of my best and favourite chibi illustrations.
For this piece I wanted the characters to stand out rather than blend into the background. I think it turned out well.
I was also worried that this might've ended up becoming too vibrant(a past bad habit that I've been trying to be more careful of with my current work. I like Vibrant or Colourfulness in smaller amounts now so it doesn't overpower the characters or overwhelm the piece. Some of my older pieces ended up being a little too light and soft which I like but also felt like it could use a bit more life/colour back into it.) However, I think it helped make the characters contrast against it and stand out more which was what I really wanted to go for with this piece!
This time I put also put in a lot more effort into the background! It was fun and turned out looking a lot better! If anything I want to redo the jelly fishes. I think it could be better.
